SWICTHED SIDE, SAME OLD BLOCK

I sat on a concrete stool
Underneath a twilight crescent moon
Gazing at a geezer's dark room
Dabbing on a trinket I once used
My eyes not dismayed, calmly I behold
So tomorrow I won't be told
The tale of the trinket and the new lord

Switched side, same old block

Waltzed out the dark room, the trinket
Soon follow, the geezer clad in white singlet
An harlot? My eyes know one
That gives pleasure with no money gone

Switched side, same old block

I beckon, oh trinket come
I know well that place you came from
Has it become your home?
A place to make songs with melodious tone

Callow fool, it's just a stone throw away
From the place you use to stay
In cold nights with no wool shawl
Oh trinket, have you no shame at all?

Switched side, yet same old block
I wish the trinket sheer luck.

TO MY EX

So long a letter
My hand too short to write
There may not be a later
So doing this, I hope right

Today, your day my day
Coloured white,coloured black
Mixed cloud clad the day
Like a book, memories flipping back

I look to the yesterday
And I see, the grin smile
That accost the unknown face
Tales of two to walk miles

Behold! the euphoric chapter
that graced the long mile
Alas the two together that saunter
Went asunder along the mile

The path, so rough
The mile not walked
The two not tough
All got stalked

Still your day, my day
first to surface on this soil
Happily I wish Happy birthday
Savour the jive, lite the galore

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

NOT HERE

Without you here,
I stare here and there
Nothing to cause me to cheer
Under the bright sunny noon sky
I walked till my tiredness reached high
No one to pat my aching back,
No one to fill my hungry sack
loosed upon me, a lugubrious frown
Oh! Dunmias, why leave now
Why leave, why leave
The dawn is yet to break, see
Darkness still hold sway here
Without you here
I have no beacon
Yet no one to beckon
When my eyes can't see through
The aspect of the night's gloom
Left alone in this concrete wall
I miss you, that's just all
