I'll buy the sun,
To lit your day
I'll wrest the moon
From its dwelling place
To make the inky blackness
Of your night glow
I'll pluck the stars
In their thousands
And make them twinkle
Their plentiful lights
While you lay your head at night
On your oaken couch
Tell me you're thirsty
I'll bring you water
From the purest spring
To slake your thirst
Tell me when your stomach calls,
I'll bring you the freshest greens
Even from the garden of Eden
And hunt down the finest deer
To fill your belly
You're my everything
For you,
I'll go to the end of the earth.

FAR SKY STAR
Evelyn Stonefield,
A woman of surpassing beauty
Rare to find
One of a kind
A twinkling bright star
Up in the far sky
That she be, a garden flower
My hands would have reached her
Touched her glossy long hair
Whisper my heart to her ear
But she dwells in high place
Where I can only cast a gaze
To the call of her attraction
Fanning my untamed affection

THE BLOOD MOON
Beautiful,
The roseate glow
Of the lunar moon
The light it shed
Touches the earth
O! a coruscating brilliance
A touch of red,
It could mean love
Love?
Perhaps the moon
Has been speared,
Ran through with cold steel
Shedding scalding tears
In gory pool
Sun,
stars
And other heavenly bodies
Have you done this?
Have you killed our moon?
Why does she glow in gore?
Will she breathe again?
Will she glow
To lit our inky night again?

I'LL SING YOU, A SWEET LAY
I'll offer to you,
my dearest
a sweet silvery rendition
Embraced in a harmonious rhythm
Deep from the abyss of my steadfast heart,
A sweet lay of love
No ear has welcomed
I'll sing low,
then high
Till it rises,
a deafening crescendo
I'll beckon on songsters
Form all earth's quarter
Together,
we'll make the song swell around you
I'll praise with the sweet ode
The greatness of your surpassing beauty,
Your alluring eyes,
Point-carved nose
And Sexy pink glossy lips
Not saving your inky long tresses
From my piccolo,
There shall a pleasant tune issue forth
To tear away your heavy-heart
In great asunder
I'll twang too
the ukulele strings
And set free it's sweet melody
To unfasten your joy
For you,
Bone of my own
I'll sing till my strength wane
twang strings
Till my fingers are dead
I'll go to the end of the earth
To make songs that holds you
Under a rapturous heaven

LIFE
I love her so much
I care for her as such
The lone reason I breathe
She makes my heart beat
In sweet harmony with her presence
With her, I've found my essence
That her father could let her be mine
To dwell fast by me till the end of time
Then I'll go to the end of the earth
To gain plenteous wealth
And pay her nameless bride price
But alas! Won't death awe in fright?
Yet only then will I breath forever,
And ne'er ever shall I sever ties with her.

GRIM REAPER
O! Grim reaper
I know of your essence
Instrument of fate
But your bones should be weary and leaden
Your scythe should have slacked it's thirst for gore
For numberless souls have you shuffed their mortal coil
Yet, you hunger after more
Though you're blameless, a true-hearted servant
You're blind to gold and silver
You're heartless; deaf to piteous cry
Alas! Your end is nigh
Ultimately, you shall be cast into a fiery mere
And humanity shall live forever more
Our flesh shall not wrinkle, neither shall our hair grizzled

WIDOW PLOUGHING A LONELY FURROW
At first light, in the morn
I set out to further my wanderings
Tripping the grassy ride along
To catch a boat sailing to other province
Along the path, a sweet sepulchral voice
Arrest my sympathy breast
Entranced by the sweetness of the voice
I seek it to find, thus, I became unquiet
I drew nigh, the verdant field rings
Of sweet lay, resonance with elegiac tune
I espied, behold 'tis the widow that sings
Her visage writ large in gloom
The tidings of this widow
Had once danced pass my ear
Alas! A pitiful lonely soul
She bore no heir
Sited neath a bower,in wonderment I stare
She had worked mightily on the farmland
Heaps arrayed on the earth bed
All she'd sown flowers on her fertile land
She sow and sings by herself
Pearls of perspiration watering the heaps
A solitary sower, with no hand to help
Anon, her eyes rimmed with fatigue
She cast her eyes heavenward
Storm clouds were gathering
She hurried, in fleet of foot homeward
Thence I further away in my wanderings

SLAUGTHER HOUSE
Tis a slaughter house, ne'er a refuge home
Young and old, they kill our kindred own
Day after day, blood and tears runs like a river
Alas! No stern stance, but asleep our own leader
In luxury of his comfy mattress
Lo and behold our dangling hopeless heads
Craving to see no more massacre
Oh! Heaven we call, bring forth succour
ASAKE
ASAKE is beautiful
Lo and behold,
the very epitome of a beauteous woman
Cursed with an aspect,
that outshine the moonlight
Yet a magical eyes that arrests souls
Her glossy ebony skin nick away sight
Overcomer breathes no where her beauty tempts
Alas! Asake, flawless but a bilious vixen
The smudge on her sweet perfection.
CARE FOR YOU
I care for you my man
O Ye, I'll do all I can
To hold you for my own
And make your heart my home
Dine along on my platter of gold
As my love for you unfold
Out of the spring of my breast
You shall drink till our breath rest
I care for you my man
O ye I'll more than I can
TILL DEATH DO US PART
In your arms
I found peace the most
And miles away from all harms
My life with you I chose
To be with till I wrinkle
And love you till my breath cease
Oh love!, crazy and blissful
You touch my heart with your gentle kiss
I live my life for your love
No one i place above
Undying love kept us thus far
With you I wish not to sever
Together we'll be forever
Till death do us part
UNCHANGED
I see with my eyes,
as the season change
Rain comes and go
Sometimes,
the river cease to flow
Leaves dry,
and swept away in wind
cold comes
and makes our lips tremble
And our body craving for woolly cloth
Ye!, Albeit season change
E'en if your visage with it
My feelings for you remains
Like a thousand year stone
I love you and you're my own
THE WORDS I COULDNT SAY
Oh! what a tragedy
My heart is so heavy
I've been made this way
By the words I couldn't say
I love this dame
But my courage is so lame
To externalise my feeling
Thus I drool like a suckling
I love you,
the word I couldn't say
Hoping she'll see through
and peruse words I want to say
ILL PRONOUNCE HER NAME
I'll pronounce her name, Dunmias
For she came like a messiah
And saved me from perpetual loneliness
That had made me sleepless
Her love for me makes me wonder
Cos she cares like a mother
I know not how I deserve this
With sweet kisses, she Bathed my lips
With her hands all about my neck
My emotions I can no more keep in check
I threw my hands on down her spine
For I know she's mine
NIGHT
Black is the colour of you
Night, that eyes can't see through
You the friend of the wicked soul
Only light's your closest foe
To kill you I hold my touch
And make you bleed in a rush
you go and I shall see clearly
All the parts I stumbled lately
MAN UNDER THE CLOUD
Don't marry him
Everyone's crying it loud
He's not what he seem
The man under the cloud
I want him
But I'm scared
I love him, but about him
Much have been said
He cares for me
In ways I ne'er imagined
He loves me for me
On him, my heart is all enshrined
I wanna carry on
Cloaking all the doubts
Alas! The cry still is on
The man under the cloud
UNCERTAIN
Weary of the morrow
My heart
Abruptly leapt into sorrow
Pondering over the uncertainty
My mind
Utterly bewildered,
Yet unquiet
A gaze at the sun to come
My strength
Wither away like a flower
Under the scourge of sunlight
The morrow is pregnant
Benighted, I know not
The fruit it shall bring forth

WINDY RAINY NIGHT
Oh! What a cold windy night
That heralds the rain coming
Breeze sweeping the ground swiftly
Dark cloud shroud the stars from sight
But the lightening flashes across the sky
Oh! Ye the rain is quickly coming
I can hear from my room
The beating sound of the rain
Over my shelter roof
No sooner, water running along the drain
It's here really, plenty is the pour
Rolling pebbles as I peek on
From my threshold door
